Euge (short for his middle name Eugene, and no, it’s not pronounced “huge”) Groove (an alteration of his last name Grove, which is pronounced “groove” in Europe) has taken his music to a whole new technical level with the release of his interactive new album Groove on This.

In an age when everyone wants to become a musician with games like Guitar Hero and simple software like Garage Band, Euge has managed to combine the best of both worlds for an interactive listening experience where you get to make up the music as you listen.

He’s partnered up with the Phoenix, AZ company, Beamz Interactive, to create software that allows you to interact with his music by using a laser beam controller that senses your touch, or for the computer purist, can control from the keyboard.

“I’ve always wanted to do this being the geek that I am,” Euge jokes. ” It lets people to be able to really interact on a higher level and change the outcome of the song.”

Not only can you interact with the music, you actually become the musician. You decide what notes are played when, what instruments are selected and how the song ultimately sounds, adding that personal level to connect with Euge’s music.
