A Saturday Night to Remember In Montrose
I’m very excited to represent The WAVE in a very merry event just north of Los Angeles this weekend! It’s Glendale’s official holiday parade, and you’re invited!
Pack up the car with family and friends, and head for the 34th Annual Montrose Christmas Parade where the 2 and the 210 Freeways meet!
The celebration is this Saturday, December 4th and starts at 6 PM with a dramatic flyover by Santa Claus and a ‘ho, ho, ho’ high above in a brightly decorated police helicopter!
Thrill to colorful marching bands and cheerleaders, equestrian units and fire engines, as well as gorgeous vintage cars with VIP guests: KTLA veteran newsman Stan Chambers; Los Angeles Angels pitcher Trevor Bell; Parade Grand Marshal Laffit Pincay Jr, the legendary jockey and watch for me as I ‘wave’ back at you from a classic convertible!
The parade route begins at Rosemont Avenue and goes eastbound past Ocean View Boulevard, then concludes at Verdugo Road along Honolulu Avenue where lighted trees and festive storefronts provide a cheerful welcome.
The nights get cool in the foothills. So, take a cue from the tens of thousands of smiling neighbors who bundle up and stay warm with hot cocoa and blankets from the comfort of their folding chairs on the sidewalk lining Honolulu Avenue.
Arrive early for the best parking. Dine at a local cafe.
The Montrose Christmas Parade is one of the region’s most joyous, and the perfect way to embrace the spirit of the holidays.
It’s part of the good life in the Foothills, and I sure hope you’ll join us!

Charter Cable will soon broadcast the parade frequently on their public access channel to the Foothill communities, Glendale, and Burbank through the New Year. Hopefully, they had a nice long lense on Santa!
