The God Song

It may be one of the most touching holiday “songs” you’ll hear. It’s called The God Song. And no one knows who recorded it or where it came from.
The background of the song is back in 1984, one week before Christmas, an audio tape labeled “From God” was left at the door of a radio station. After listening to it, the station’s staff at the time decided to play it on the air and got a huge reaction from it. You can now hear us play it on The WAVE throughout the holiday season. You can also listen to the song below.
It’s a “song” which will really make you stop and think.

How pathetic. You’ve missed all the imortance of life when all you can comment on is getting some free concert tickets. Sad.

A very special Christmas message. Thanks for including this in your playlist. Would you consider playing “Is There a Place?” by Stephen Amerson.

Such a good presentation of faith…Whoever made it (?hmmm) did not want any recognition or distraction other than your focus on God…chose God, chose love, chose to put honorable men/women in public office. We have another chance.

at a time when people are pepper spraying one another to get a ridiculous “thing”/game or stampede one another for a blasted pair of shoes that will still be available to purchase december 26th and beyond…..when it seems people are more focused about winning tickets to some casino and people are shooting one another because they disagree about some NFL team, this gift, the god song, is a sorely needed reminder that goodness does exist.
it is easy to get distracted by these other events, to get tricked into thinking that people care more about things than they do about one another. but, all of these examples of people misbehaving are just that, distractions….distractions from what really matters, hope….and love.
thank you for giving us the opportunity to record the god song so we can use it as a reminder throughout the year that goodness does exist and i can make a difference…we can all make a difference if we take the time to think beyond ourselves for just a moment. -thank you-

The God Song is truly wonderful. Wish you could play it more often especially during these difficult times.
