It was Valentine’s Day in 1987 when a brand new radio station called 94.7 The WAVE signed on the air in Los Angeles with a brand new format never before heard anywhere on the radio. Now 25 years later, 94.7 The WAVE is still going strong and we want you to celebrate with us at 94.7 The WAVE’s 25th Anniversary Concert on Sunday, February 19th at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live!

i remember that day in 1987 & I have been a Wave fan all the way. I had my 1st son that year in March. & I also remember my youngest son singing “947 The Waaaaave” in the back seat of the car from his car seat. My husband & I looked at each other in surprise because he was just learning to talk:)

I went the concert last night and was totally entertained. It was the first concert I had gone to in awhile and it was one not to miss! Seeing and hearing Babyface and Toni Braxton perform their hits live was great but for me the high point was Dave Koz and friends performing live on the same stage. I love jazz and that just made my day, seeing some of my favorite jazz musicians live. When they were all out on stage together, the dynamics and energy between them was incredible! Thanks 947Wave for making it happen!

In the mid 90′s, I bought 2 “94.7 The Wave” T-shirts of the station and also the have denim shirts with embroidered “94.7 The Wave”. Are these merchandise still available
