Singer songwriter Phil Collins is celebrating his 61st birthday today.  Born in London, England, he began his career as a drummer and is best known from the group Genesis and his own solo career.  Throughout his career, he’s won seven GRAMMY Awards, five Brit Awards, an Academy Award, and two Golden Globes.  In 2010 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the group Genesis.   He’s sold over 100 million albums world wide from both his solo career and his time with Genesis.
