The 5th Annual BET Honors aired on Tuesday night, recognizing this year’s honorees, poet/author Maya Angelou (Literary Arts), Stevie Wonder (Musical Arts), Mariah Carey (Entertainer), filmmaker Spike Lee (Media), the heroic Tuskegee Airmen (Service) and inspirational coach and mentor Beverly Kearney (Education). Star-studded performances included Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Patti LaBelle and even an appearance from First Lady Michelle Obama as a presenter.
