CBS 2 News investigative reporter David Goldstein is back with his latest hidden camera report on the officials from the Metropolitan Water District and their spending habits as water rates begin to spike for homeowners.

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is the wholesale supplier of water for 26 cities and districts in Southern California, including the City of Los Angeles.

Water rates have gone up nearly 70% in the last six years and the Water District is proposing another increase. So David went out to find out how the District is spending the money being collected by ratepayers across Southern California.

Among the things David found from his investigation includes a $599-a-night hotel room, expensive dinner, and even a helicopter rental.
