Usher broke down in an Atlanta courtroom yesterday (May 21) as the custody battle heated up with his ex-wife Tameka Foster. The singer took the stand and painted a picture of his wife as a violent and irrational woman, in at least one instance.

In video from the trial, a clearly distraught Usher can be seen wiping away tears. In one clip, he described a scene in which Foster, who was once his stylist, attacked and spit at his female friend, Grace Miguel.

“She told her ‘I’m gonna kick your a** b**** get out of the car. How dare you bring this b**** to my subdivision, my house,'” he testified. “She continued to swing and spit. At this point she pulled the door open, tried to swing at her.”

Usher and Foster were married in 2007 and split ways after two years. Tomeka is looking for full-time custody while Usher is asking for more visitation rights.

He should have never married her in the first place. His mother and friends warned him and after he postponed the wedding the first time and now all of this, People told him she was after his money. She was married with 3 kids when she was working him and she saw a meal ticket and everything else is history and a HOT MESS and the only ones that are suffering is those children.

You are so correct. This is a HOT MESS.

I didn’t pay much attention to the story either before or after the marriage, but you can’t help hearing about it because it is in the media and people talk about it. What was he thinking? Was this a stunt to get media attention in the first place? Why couldn’t they settle this like grown ups, keep it out of a courtroom and move on to take care of their children? His fiasco just glamorizes dysfunction.
