The WAVE’s Smooth Night Out at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live was a huge success and our listeners got a jam-packed night filled with funk, blues and plenty of smooth grooves!

There were many exceptional highlights from all our performers; Vincent Ingala got the crowd fired up with his energetic set; the ladies swooned over Spencer Day’s smooth voice, including Mindi Abair who also joined him on his hit “Til You Come To Me.”

Mindi cranked the night up a notch with a fiery performance with her rockin’ band; a sharply dressed Kirk Whalum wowed the crowd with a passionate and soulful performance and later joined Norman Brown on stage for a bluesy jam session.

Our headliner of the night, saxophonist Boney James also made it a night to remember after jumping out into the crowd to serenade a few lucky ladies. He ran up and down the aisles of Nokia Theatre as fans frantically snapped pictures and video of him to remember the moment forever.

Boney even recently shared one fan video on his Facebook page of another great moment of the night of him getting down on stage for a little impromptu dance break.

After getting the crowd to snap along, Boney started dancing to the snaps and drum beats as the crowd cheered on “Go Boney, Go Boney!”

Thanks to YouTube user cleanheart13 for capturing this great moment to share from the show! Watch Boney get down in the video below!
