New York Yankees Pay Tribute To Boston With “Sweet Caroline” Singalong

Yankees fans put aside their longtime bitter rivalry against the Red Sox during last night’s game in New York as fans paid a touching tribute to Boston in wake of the tragic marathon bombings Monday, reports MSN.

After taking a moment of silence for the victims killed and injured in the explosion, fans in the crowd all joined together in a rousing stadium singalong to the tune of Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline,” a song that’s played during each game at the Bean Town’s Fenway Park.

The tribute was even Neil Diamond-approved as the singer tweeted his support and gratitude to the Yankees.

Many other Major League teams joined in the “Sweet Caroline” tribute, including Atlanta Braves, the Chicago Cubs and the Miami Marlins and L.A.’s own Dodgers, who also got a special shout-out from the singer.
