I love this quote, which reminds us that life is not a possession, and it’s also something you can’t quantify by the number of friends you have on Facebook. It’s something way bigger than that, and takes a bit more effort than “friending” someone on a social network site.

I was so amazed last week when Pat Prescott wheeled over with her foot scooter over rough brick pavement for several blocks to get to a restaurant where some of us girlfriends were having lunch. That’s literally going the extra mile in the name of friendship!

“Friendship is not something you have, it’s something you do.”

–Muriel Steinbeck

This week, go the extra mile for a friend. Your true friends will do the same for you.
