The legendary Poncho Sanchez hits the stage this Thursday night in a benefit concert for the Blue Jay Jazz Foundation.

I will hosting for the second year in a row, a cool evening of Jazz under the stars. Blue Jay Jazz raises funds for music programs and students who are constantly getting their budgets cut, providing musical instruments, sheet music and most of all, encouragement to young talent.

Blue Jay Jazz Foundation president Chris Levister (pictured on stage with Bill), has devoted lots of time and energy into assembling a great line-up for you once again for the 23rd year of this three week event. Phil Norman’s Big Band appears on August 14th. The Greg Young Band with GRAMMY nominated trumpet man Bobby Rodriguez will perform on August 21st.

Showtime with Poncho Sanchez is this Thursday night August 7th at 7:30pm in the parking lot above Rite Aid in Blue Jay. Tickets are only $20, kids are free with adult admission. A table for 8 is $220. For more info go to bluejayjazz.com.
