One of the most talked about events that took place on last night’s 2016 BET Awards was the speech given by Jesse Williams.

The actor received the BET Humanitarian Award  for his work in the black community and stole the spotlight with his almost 5-minute long acceptance speech where he spoke about racial inequality, police brutality and more.

“This award; this is not for me, this is for the real organizers all over the country – the activists, the civil rights attorneys, the struggling parents, the families, the students that are realizing that a system built to divide and impoverish and destroy us cannot stand if we do,” Williams said during his speech.

This is one inspirational speech people will remember and talk about for years to come.
