Mariah Carey’s #1 to Infinity show returns to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace later this month, and to get the word out Mimi shelled out a few thousand bucks for a photo shoot to be used on billboards by two local airports, Burbank and John Wayne Airport.

But according to TMZ, the Los Angeles and Orange County airports do not approve of the photo to be used, because it shows Carey with a gold sheet that barely covers her chest.

The two airports were chosen due to the high amount of travel to Las Vegas.

But according to USA Today, neither airport can actually ban billboard artwork that goes up outside their property.  A spokeswoman for Burbank Airport said, “It simply requested that the artwork be revised.”

And at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, their spokeswoman said they “did not nix, ban or intervene with the placement of the billboards near the airport.”

The boards are scheduled to go up August 22.  We’ll have to wait and see if they actually do.
