The long awaited Selena wax figure has finally been unveiled at Madame Tussauds Hollywood.

A special ceremony will take place today at the museum’s Hollywood Blvd. location with 300 Annual Passholders, along with the late singer’s family and friends.

The figure is estimated to cost $350,000, and will be dressed in an outfit to recreate the look of her concert at the Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi, TX on February 7, 1993.   It’s the same performance that was recorded for her GRAMMY Award winning album, Selena Live!

After seeing photos of his late wife’s wax figure, Chris Perez posted to Facebook, “Some of the other celebrity wax figures I’ve seen, well, they only SORT of look like who they’re supposed to look like. Take it from me, this one looks amazing! Unveiling is on this coming Tuesday at Madame Tussauds in Hollywood.”

Selena’s wax figure will be available for the general public to see beginning Wednesday, August 31 at 10am.
