Limoncello-Flavored LaCroix Is Coming in 2020

January 1, 2020

If life gave you lemons in 2019, make Limoncello in 2020.

LaCroix is getting fans daydreaming about their soon-to-be favorite non-alcoholic summertime beverage by announcing Limoncello will be their latest flavor, reported People.

The sparkling water brand didn’t give away too many details about their newest offering but did share an image of the can amidst a Mediterranean backdrop.

“The Extravagance of Delicious! #LaCroixLimonCello -- Coming 2020!" the caption read.

Whether that means Limoncello is coming in January, June or, heaven forbid, later in the year has yet to be revealed.

Regardless, fans are already salivating for its carbonated effervescence.

“Ok this sounds incredible,” commented a thirsty admirer.

“You’ve outdone yourself sweetheart,” joked another.

“Omg all of my dreams are coming true! Limoncello!,” added a third.

Currently, LaCroix offers sparkling sodas in Pure, Lime, Lemon, Orange, Cran-Raspberry, Berry, Peach-Pear, Pamplemousse, Coconut, Passionfruit, Mango, Apricot, Tangerine, Key-Lime, Hi-Biscus!, Mure-Pepino, Kiwi-Sandia, Melon Pomelo, Cerise Limon, Pomme Baya, Pina Fraise, LaCola, Coffea Exotica, Coconut Cola and Cubana flavors.

Limocello will be the brand’s 25th flavor since launching over thirty years ago. While it was always well-known in the Midwest, LaCroix launched a marketing blitz in 2013 which helped turn it into a national cultural phenomenon.

By 2017, the company was worth $4.1 billion according to Forbes.

It’s since faced stiff competition as major soda brands like Coca-Cola and Pepsi have jumped on the sparkling water trend, as well as the rise of spiked seltzer like White Claw.
