Final boarding for all wannabe Skywalkers!

Star Wars’ Rise of the Resistance attraction at Walt Disney World’s Galaxy Edge theme park in Orlando, Florida is a game changer.

The massive immersive experience is setting new standards for amusement park rides since becoming available to the public earlier this month, reported CNN.

Unlike anything seen before, Rise of the Resistance is a technical marvel feature multiple ride systems that include a trackless dark ride, a walk-through portion, motion simulator, immersive theater, holograms, animatronics and pyrotechnics that put you front and center of all the action.

Upon entering the 18-minute experience, riders are recruited into joining The Resistance in fighting off the evil First Order.  A hologram of Rey (Daisy Ridley) communicates what is at stake in a virtual briefing which reveals Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) is close behind and ready to take everyone out.

After shuttling on a transport ship, BB-8 and Poe (Oscar Isaac) make appearances before the First Order attacks. The battle plays out on massive jumbotron screens and includes Stormtroopers, intimidation by General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and the inevitable arrival of Kylo Ren.

The final portion of the attraction features five minutes of a soaring thrill ride complete with blaster fire, freefall drops, close-calls with lightsabers and crucial advice from Finn (John Boyega).

Rise of the Resistance comes months after twin Galaxy Edge Theme Parks opened at both Disney World and Disneyland in Anaheim, California earlier this year.

West Coast fans will have to wait a little while longer to ride the attraction as Rise of the Resistance won’t be ready for boarding until January 17th at Disneyland Park.

Furthering bolstering interest in the immersive experience is the blockbuster success of “Star Wars: The Rise of the Skywalker,” which earned $176 million at the box office during its opening weekend.

Between Rise of the Resistance, “Rise of the Skywalker,” “The Mandalorian” and the Chewbacca Frappuccino, “Star Wars” fans have a lot to keep them busy while they wait for those Baby Yoda toys to hit shelves in May.
